Some cats come into rescue needing a little help.
Ambience came in needing a whole lot of it. 💔
Found injured in Sherwood Park, this big, beautiful, well-muscled marshmallow had clearly been through more than his fair share.
He arrived battered, weary and unsure of the world around him. But underneath all that toughness was the sweetest boy just waiting to feel safe again. 🥺
And once he realized he was safe… the marshmallow came out. ☁️❤️
Ambience has already made his preferences very clear:
😻 Chin scratches? YES.
😻 Ear massages? Absolutely.
😻 Long back strokes? Please continue.
😻 Mountain-sized head butts? Definitely.
😻 Purrs? His official approval stamp.
😻 Automatic repeat cycle? Forever, please.
And then there was the blanket.
Wrapped up like a little burrito and brought in to watch TV, Ambience decided that maybe humans weren't so bad after all… and licked his foster's nose. 🥹😻
That moment says so much about this boy.
He's still very wary of dogs, especially barking and even seeing them.
When he encounters one, he makes himself as small and invisible as possible. No hissing. No growling. Just those big, wide eyes and complete silence. 💔
It makes us wonder what kind of experiences he may have had before coming to us.
But with people who give him patience, kindness and a safe place to land?
He's a CUDDLE BUG. ❤️
Ambience is still discovering who he is beneath the fear and uncertainty, and we're so excited to watch his personality unfold.
His body may be big and strong, but his heart is pure marshmallow. ☁️

🐾💛 Pre-Adoption Spotlight: Meet Avery! 💛🐾
Sometimes the sweetest cats have the hardest stories... and Avery is one of them. 💔
This handsome 4-year-old brown tabby first came into our care after being found crying in pain, hiding under a neighbour's deck with a severe tail injury and unable to walk properly. Thanks to the kindness of the people who refused to leave him behind, Avery finally got the help he so desperately needed. 💜
Since then, we've learned that Avery's injuries were more extensive than anyone hoped. Along with infected bite wounds to his tail and a high fever, X-rays revealed that he has a broken hip. Avery will require Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery, which is tentatively scheduled for August 28, 2026.
Despite everything he's been through, Avery has never stopped showing us what a wonderful boy he is. 🥹

Avery is currently focused on healing, but we're already looking ahead to finding the loving forever family he deserves once he's recovered from surgery and completed his veterinary care.
